Danielle is a white cis gendered, able bodied, heterosexual woman living with many privileges (including thin privilege) who is no stranger to mental illness. She knows that the road of recovery is as unique as the individual and believes everyone is deserving of treatment and care. Trained in medical nutrition therapy, Danielle is well versed in the complexities of food, science, and mental health. Danielle values honesty, communication, grace, kindness, humility, and learning. Danielle uses these values to offer her clients a warm and empathetic healing space. Danielle will work with you and your treatment team to design a personalized nutrition treatment plan that will empower you to meet your recovery goals with practical tools and words of encouragement every step of the way. Danielle is HAES® oriented and applies Intuitive Eating to her work with adults and children/adolescents (including Family Based Treatment) from all walks of life and backgrounds.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Human Biology, Health, and Society from Cornell University and completed her Dietetic Internship with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition at the University at Buffalo. Danielle is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians (IFEDD), the New York City Chapter of International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IADEP), and Eating Disorder Registered Dietitian & Professionals (EDRDpro).
