Below you will find a list of commonly asked questions regarding EDRS and our services. If you do not see your question listed, please feel free to send us an email at email@example.com or call us at 866-525-2766
Do I need an outpatient team or can I just work with EDRS?
It takes a small village to recover from an eating disorder. An “outpatient team” consists of a therapist, a registered dietitian, a physician, often a psychiatrist, and a recovery specialist or coach. At a minimum, you need to be working with a therapist to work with EDRS. If you are in any of our programs or services that include meal support, you also need to be working with a registered dietitian. Depending on where you are located we can pair you with an outpatient therapist and nutritionist or we can refer you to one of our preferred outpatient providers.
Can I work with you if I am already working with a therapist or team?
Yes, we provide treatment and wraparound support as a bridge to help you maintain your recovery in between sessions with your team.
I’m in IOP or PHP, can I still work with you?
Yes! We regularly work with clients outside program hours to help prevent the need to go to a higher level of care.
Do you only provide meal support?
No! While meal support is one of the main services clients come to us for we also offer many other services which you can find here.
What is Recovery Coaching?
Therapeutic Coaching entails a combination of behavioral interventions, therapeutic exposures, skills building, and accountability. Our therapeutic coaching services are tailored to a client’s individual needs. Some examples are: practicing skills learned in treatment in real-time to prevent relapse and tolerate one’s emotions, body image, exercise, and grocery store exposures, working on occupational and educational goals, activities of daily living, etc.
Do you take insurance?

Are any services held in an office?
All services are held in your community (home, work, school, office) virtually or in person. **In New York, we have in-office therapy and EDRS services.
Yes! We collaborate weekly or as needed with your team. We will provide them with a weekly summary of your sessions and progress. When needed we will meet with you and your team together.
How often will I work with EDRS?
The structure of your services or program varies greatly and depends on what your outpatient team recommends. We have clients who work with us once a week and clients who work with us multiple times a day.
