It takes a small village to recover from an eating disorder. An “outpatient team” consists of a therapist, a registered dietitian, a physician, often a psychiatrist, and a recovery specialist or coach.
At a minimum, you need to be working with a therapist to work with EDRS. If you are in any of our programs or services that include meal support, you also need to be working with a registered dietitian. Depending on where you are located we can pair you with an outpatient therapist and nutritionist or we can refer you to one of our preferred outpatient providers.
Therapeutic Coaching entails a combination of behavioral interventions, therapeutic exposures, skills building, and accountability. Our therapeutic coaching services are tailored to a client’s individual needs. Some examples are: practicing skills learned in treatment in real-time to prevent relapse and tolerate one’s emotions, body image, exercise, and grocery store exposures, working on occupational and educational goals, activities of daily living, etc.
