Nutrition Therapy

EDRS provides individual nutrition therapy to help you develop a better relationship with food, and provide accountability and support in meeting your personal nutritional goals.

Following an initial assessment to review your food, exercise, lifestyle, and medical history, we offer weekly and biweekly sessions to support your goals. Our registered dietitian will develop a plan of support with you and will review the plan each week.

Sessions look different for each person depending on where they are in their recovery process. Here are examples of what sessions may include:

Decreases anxiety around eating “fear foods”
Creating a food plan that meets your needs and lifestyle
Challenging fear foods and food rules
Reducing eating disorder symptoms and behaviors
Identifying and listening to hunger and fullness cues
Reducing labeling of foods as “good” or “bad”
Increasing food variety
Selecting recipes and creating grocery lists
Helping you move towards intuitive eating
Therapeutic exposures for grocery shopping

Meal support provides therapeutic and emotional support to help you stay on track with your meal plan. Eating Disorder Recovery Specialists provides personalized 1:1 meal support tailored to help you meet your unique recovery goals.

Delivered by highly qualified, licensed professionals, our recovery specialists will meet you virtually for supported meals.

Our EDRS Intake Team will assess your needs and create a personalized support plan tailored to your recovery goals. Please note, meal support and recovery coaching are not substitutes for higher levels of care. If you require more intensive treatment, explore our Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Program.

We are here not only to help you support your loved one who has an eating disorder, but also to provide you with support for yourself.

We offer individualized 1:1 sessions to provide skills and support to help you navigate the recovery process of your loved ones.
