Angel Vasquez, LMSW

Program Therapist

Angel (she/they) holds a Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University and has a background in psychology and mental health. They bring years of experience providing clinical care across nonprofit, educational, and virtual settings, focusing on increasing access to quality mental health services. Angel has led counseling initiatives, crisis interventions, and research projects centered on making treatment more accessible and effective for diverse communities. They are licensed in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Colorado.

Angel is trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and group facilitation, and integrates mindfulness and somatic practices in their work with clients in eating disorder recovery. They have extensive experience working with neurodiverse clients and understand the overlap between neurodiversity and eating disorders. Angel’s approach is evidence-based, relational, and affirming, centering clients’ lived experiences while helping them build a more compassionate relationship with food and their bodies. They are passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ clients and collaborate with clients’ support systems and care teams to support individualized, sustainable recovery.

Outside of work, Angel loves coffee and shares their workspace with a cuddly lap cat who may make an appearance during sessions. They currently reside in New York, NY.
