Dana Sedlak is an experienced therapist with a demonstrated history of working in the mental healthcare field as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in NY, CT, and NJ. She has worked in a variety of settings, including outpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and residential programs with a specialization in adolescents and young adults.
She brings both clinical expertise and her individual experience to work with you in your recovery from your eating disorder, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and other co-occurring disorders. She also specializes in providing Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) to reduce symptoms of trauma and PTSD.
Dana focuses on creating a therapeutic relationship where you have the space to show up authentically in your truth. She will help you develop insight into the function of your eating disorder, how it is serving you, and how you can find alternative ways to meet those needs without shame or judgement. Dana will facilitate your relationship to your healthy self during moments where your eating disorder is too afraid to loosen the reigns. She will help you to build a life worth living goals to increase your connection to a world outside of your eating disorder.
