Mary Ackerly received her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Sewanee: The University of the South and is an Admissions Administrator at Eating Disorder Recovery Specialists. Before joining the EDRS team, Mary worked as a behavior therapist at an autism center for children. From this experience, Mary utilizes skills focused on a compassionate and individualized approach to therapy when working with individuals. As a psychology major, she wrote her thesis about the influence of stress on the body while focusing on a biopsychosocial model approach. She hopes to pursue her masters in mental health counseling and continue to help individuals with their therapy goals and well-being.
