Katherine Frangos, LMSW
Associate Therapist (NY)
Katherine graduated from Stony Brook University with a Masters in Social Work in 2022. During the last few years she has worked with the eating disorder population in virtual PHP and IOP settings. Additionally, Katherine has gained experience in social work and therapeutic practices by engaging with unhoused families, veterans and the incarcerated population.
During sessions Katherine encourages open dialogue, communication about goals for therapy and believes collaboration will create tailored sessions for each individual’s needs. Through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), relational practice therapy (RPT) and mindfulness techniques, clients are guided to challenge narratives and all maladaptive behaviors.
When Katherine is not at work she is traveling near and far, hanging out with her pup, Bruce Wayne, falling into a good book and engaging in an array of creative activities.
