Kelly Kyriacou, LMHC
Therapist (New York)
Kelly attended Iona College where she earned her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling. Prior to that, she attended Siena College where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Kelly’s experience working with high-risk patients within a partial hospitalization and residential treatment setting has allowed her to take an empathetic and understanding approach to clients struggling with debilitating issues related to anxiety, depression, body image, and disordered eating. Kelly has also received training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma-specific intervention.
Kelly aims to create a warm and safe environment for clients to speak freely about sensitive topics and other struggles they may be facing. She has a collaborative approach to work together in a way that best serves the client’s goals. Kelly offers empathy, cognitive challenging when negative self-talk or distorted thinking gets too loud, as well as guidance in effective coping strategies to assist clients in developing healthy habits and self-fulfillment.
